Meet Melissa

Welcome and thank you so much for stopping by! I’m Melissa, the woman behind Honey & Sage Flowers. I have over 12 years experience in the floral industry and 7 years with this business of mine. I’m a graduate of Purdue University and a West Lafayette native.

I fell in love with flowers many years ago, when I was given a great opportunity to work at a local flower shop. There I learned a lot about flower design and found my passion for wedding design, in particular. I love connecting with couples to hear about their big day and incorporating beautiful blooms to pull it all together.

Although, I did enjoy working in a flower shop, I also had a family at home that I craved to spend more time with. After much discussion with my supportive husband, Ryan,  I decided to leave the flower shop to stay at home with my young girls. However, that’s not where my flower journey ended. I decided I can have the best of both worlds and decided to open up my own flower studio! My girls love seeing me in action and smelling the fresh flowers. I love being able to spend lots of time with them while nurturing my creative side. 

When I'm not in the studio, you can find me enjoying family room dance parties, running, reading, being outside, & working on DIY projects.
