As many of you know, winter is not my favorite season of the year. Although my husband and I got into a discussion yesterday about how it isn’t technically winter yet because the winter solstice doesn’t begin until December 21. He finally gave in that it was meteorological winter. (He’s a major weather nerd, if you couldn’t tell, and I love him dearly for that.)
Anyways, today is another typical Indiana winter day: cold and grey with a mix of wet snow. I just want to see a peek of the sun! That would do wonders for this outdoor loving, sun basking lady! I will say I did try to be a good sport of the cold and get outside to run earlier this week. Needless to say it didn’t go well. There was a cold mist, wind, and I didn’t get very far before I retreated home. I was thankful that I caught a glimpse of myself in the car mirror before going into the preschool to pick up my daughter. I was definitely disheveled. One point to you winter.
Since my wedding season has officially ended this year, I’ve had a lot of time to rest and reflect. This year was such a great year. I officially became the sole owner of Honey & Sage and had the best wedding season to date! I’m so very grateful for wonderful friends that stepped in to help with my bigger projects, my wholesalers who always have great recommendations and just cool florals, and my wonderful couples who entrusted me on such a special day. I’m also so, so thankful for my wonderful husband who is always willing to drive that big cargo van, and help with the grunt work. Man, what a year! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Below are just a few of the many florals from this year.
